My name is Janet Wilshaw and along with my husband John have been breeding Burmese cats and kittens under my GCCF prefix Rossikhan since 1982.
Both myself and John have a huge passion for this wonderful breed and we are both officers of the Burmese Cat Society and in addition are representatives to the Burmese Breed Advisory Committee.
I enjoy showing my cats and kittens and I am very proud to say with some success over the years with many titled cats and best in show winners. You will often find both myself and John at the many GCCF cat shows throughout the UK so please feel free to say ‘hi’ if you are visiting a cat show.
My aim as a breeder is to breed Burmese cats and kittens of good show type and with excellent health and temperaments. We love showing but understand this is not everyone’s hobby, health and temperament always come first with show type being a bonus not a priority.
A while back one of my cats, Ch and UK Gr Pr Rossikhan Sonovrou, was featured on Marks and Spencer’s tinned food and they kept him on their shelves for over five years. Both myself and John were so proud.
